Finally someone has built a custom application to design your own gauges. Auto Meter let’s you pick your color, bezel, pointer, font and more. Here is a picture of the set of gauges I created, not too bad if I say so myself!
Import guys have been tearing apart their stock gauge clusters for years and print off new gauge faces and customizing needles. Glad to see a company get with the times and offer something we have been wanting for a long time. Now if they could only come up with a round LCD screen which we could develop our own skins and applications, we would have a killer dashboard!
My friend and partner in ClassicJunkyard.com has written a book all about his life as a classic car picker. I met Dave from a friend of my ex-wife. (I don’t hold that against him!) He has always been a serious car guy, and when faced with the opportunity to be down-sized jumped at the chance to turn his passion into a career.
If you have ever wanted to turn your knowledge of cars (or anything really) into a career, read this book and learn!
Note: I will be reviewing the book shortly, just awaiting my copy to arrive in the mail.
